Overview
WABA Pool refers to the "WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) Pool," a mechanism used in the WhatsApp Business account to manage a pool of phone numbers that are connected to a WhatsApp Business Account. It allows businesses to scale their communication with customers by using multiple phone numbers under a single WABA.
Here’s how it typically works:
Multiple Numbers Management: The WABA Pool allows a business to manage and use multiple phone numbers associated with the same WhatsApp Business Account. This is useful for large-scale businesses that need to handle high volumes of messages or support multiple regions, departments, or use cases.
Load Balancing: The pool helps distribute the messaging load across multiple numbers. If one number reaches its messaging limit, the system can automatically route messages to another number in the pool, ensuring continuous service.
Failover and Redundancy: In case one number encounters an issue (e.g., technical problems, rate limits), the WABA Pool can switch to another number in the pool to maintain message flow and prevent service disruption.
Regional and Departmental Routing: Businesses can assign different phone numbers for various departments or geographic regions. The WABA Pool allows dynamic routing based on rules like customer location or query type, directing messages to the appropriate phone number.
Using a WABA Pool helps businesses optimize their messaging strategies and maintain a robust communication system on WhatsApp, especially for large-scale operations or customer service use cases.
Add a WABA Pool
Note: To add a WABA pool, each enterprise account should have a minimum of three WhatsApp numbers activated with them.
Enterprise Admin
Permissions Required:
Admin/Super Admin
To create a new WABA pool,
Login to the Wisely with valid credentials.
Navigate to Channels --> WhatsApp --> WABA Pool from the left menu.
The WhatsApp Add Pool page opens.In the Pool Name field, enter a name.
In the Phone Number field, select the desired number that you want to add. You can add a maximum of 10 mobile numbers to a pool.
Click Submit.
Your WABA Pool will be activated and listed on the WABA Pool listing page.
Aggregator Admin

To create a new WABA pool,
Login to the Aggregator with valid credentials.
Navigate to Channels --> WhatsApp --> WABA Pool from the left menu.
The WhatsApp Add Pool page opens.In the Enterprise Name field, select an enterprise from the drop-down menu.
In the Pool Name field, enter a name
In the Phone Number field, select the desired number that you want to add. You can add a maximum of 10 mobile numbers to a pool.

Deactivate a WABA Pool
Enterprise
To deactivate a WABA Pool,
Navigate to Channels --> WhasApp --> WABA Pool from the left menu.
The WhatsApp Add Pool page opens.Disable the toggle next to the WhatsApp Pool.
A pop-up appears saying “Are you sure you want to deactivate it?”Click Yes to proceed.
Your WABA Pool will be deactivated.
Aggregator
To deactivate a WABA Pool,
Navigate to Channels --> WhasApp --> WABA Pool from the left menu.
The WhatsApp Add Pool page opens.Disable the toggle next to the WhatsApp Pool.

Your WABA Pool will be deactivated.
Edit a WABA Pool
Enterprise
To edit a WABA Pool,
Navigate to Channels --> WhatsApp --> WABA Pool from the left menu.
The WhatsApp Add Pool page opens.Click on the stencil icon next to the WhatsApp Pool.
The edit WABA pool opens.Change your required details like adding or removing WABA Pool Numbers.
Click Update.
