Security

The security of user data and activities is paramount for any application, and Wisely is no exception. To safeguard the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of user information, Wisely incorporates a robust security module focused on monitoring login activities and maintaining an audit log.

Security management includes the following:

Login Activity$

This feature is designed to track and record all user authentication attempts within the Wisely platform. This includes successful logins, failed attempts, and other authentication-related events.

View Login Activity$

To view the login activities of users,

  1. Navigate to Settings→Identity & Access from the left menu.

  2. Click the Login Activity.
    The login activity page opens.

  3. The login activity tracks the following details, include:

    • Name: The name of a registered user.
    • Date & Time: The exact date and time when the user logged in.
    • IP Address: The IP address from which the login was made, often used for security monitoring.
    • Device Type: Information about the device used for login. For example, Windows PC or Macbook Pro.
    • Geo Location: The geographical location associated with the IP address.
    • Success/Failure Status: Whether the login attempt was successful or failed.
    • Action: The type of actions taken by the user. For example, view, and edit.

To view the login activities of users,

  1. Navigate to Settings→Users & Permissions from the left menu.

  2. Click the Login Activity.
    The login activity page opens.

  3. The login activity tracks the following details, include:

    • Name: The name of a registered user.
    • Date & Time: The exact date and time when the user logged in.
    • IP Address: The IP address from which the login was made, often used for security monitoring.

Download Login Activity$

You can filter the data by selecting the following time period and downloading it as a .csv file into your local folder.

  • Today

  • Last 7 days

  • Last 15 days

  • Last 30 days

  • Custom date

To download the login activities of users,

  1. Navigate to Settings→Identity & Access from the left menu.

  2. Click the Login Activity.
    The login activity page opens.

  3. Click the Download button.
    The login activity is downloaded as a CSV file.

Audit Trail$

Wisely provides a comprehensive record of all significant actions performed within the platform. The audit log is essential for troubleshooting, compliance, and forensic investigations.

You can perform the actions for each module described in the following table:

Business Group Add A new business group has been added.
Edit An existing business group has been edited.
Notify business group owner The business group owner should be notified of changes.
Notify assigned users Assigned users added/removed in business groups should be notified.
Business Profile Setup A business profile has been set up.
Update An existing business profile has been updated.
Access Account Setup A new access account has been set up.
Edit An existing access account has been edited.
Deactivate An access account has been deactivated.
Activate An access account has been activated.
WABA Numbers Activate A new WABA account has been activated.
Edit The details of a WABA account have been edited.
Create Message links have been created for a WABA account.
Edit Message links have been edited for a WABA account.
Delete Message links have been deleted for a WABA account.
Templates Create A new template has been created.
Edit An existing template has been edited.
Template Content -Approve/Reject The content of a template has been approved or rejected.

Edit The settings of a template have been edited.
Opt-in/Opt-out Create A new opt-in/opt-out group has been created.
Edit/Update An existing opt-in/opt-out group has been edited or updated.
Delete An existing opt-in/opt-out group has been deleted.
Users Made Admin A user has been granted admin privileges.
Suspend A user has been suspended.
Delete A user has been deleted.
Edited The details of a user have been edited.
Roles Add A new role has been added.
Edit An existing role has been edited.

View Audit Trail Logs$

To view the login activities of users,

  1. Navigate to Settings→Security from the left menu.

  2. Click the Audit Trail.
    The Audit Trail page opens.

  3. The Audit Trail tracks the following details, include:

    • Actioned By: Identifies who or what triggered the action.

    • Module: Specifies the main section of the platform where the action occurred.

    • Sub-module: Details the specific area within the module where the action took place.

    • Action: Describes the specific task performed, such as "Create" or "Delete."

    • Date & Time: Logs when the action was executed.

    • Resource Reference: Which sub-modules have been updated?

    • Status: Indicates the current state or outcome of the action. For example: Failure or Success. If failed, the reason for failure will be displayed.
