Create Truecaller Templates

Wisely offers two types of Truecaller templates which enhance the personalized communication with the end customers.

These templates are:

  • a rich text message that includes suggested actions such as a quick reply, a URL, and/or a phone number to dial back in the body of the message.

  • a single interactive rich media card that includes an image, video, or a document in the header, and suggested actions include a quick reply, an embedded URL, and/or a phone number to dial back in the body of the message.

You can use these templates for sending OTPs, promotional and transactional messages to the end customers.

Enterprise Admin

Permissions Required:

  • Super Admin/Admin

To add templates,

  1. Login to Wisely account with valid username and password.

  2. Navigate to Channels --> Truecaller --> Business Profiles --> Template.

  3. Click Add Template at top right corner.
    The template creation form opens.

  1. In the Message Category field, select your desired category from the dropdown menu. The values are

    • OTP

    • Promotional

    • Transactional

  2. In the Template Name field, enter your desired name.

  3. Select a radio button next to appropriate template type from the following:
    a. Message Type: Rich Text Message
    When you select a text message, you will need to enter the following fields:

    • In the Message Content field, enter your text message.
      You can add up to 4000 characters maximum

    • (Optional) Add Variable parameters to the content of the message.

    • (Optional) In the Footer field, add text or URLs.

b. Message Type: Rich Card Stand Alone Message
When you select Rich Card Stand Alone type, you will need to enter the following fields:

  • Under Template Content, add media by inserting respective URLs. Supported file types are listed below:

    • Image

      • Supported File Type: JPEG, JPG, PNG

      • File Size: 200 MB

    • Video

      • Supported File Type: mp4

      • Max File Size: 200 MB

    • Document

      • Supported File Type: pdf, .txt

      • Max File Size: 200 MB

  • In the Card description field, add text, emojis, custom variables up to 3900 characters.

  • (Optional) In the Footer field, add text or URLs.

  1. Under Buttons, select up to three types of actions from the following:

    • Quick Reply – sends a reply in the message.

    • URL Action  â€“ opens a webpage.

    • Dialer – opens a dialer with a number to call back to the agent.
      For each type of button, you will need to enter the following fields:

      • Suggestion Text

      • Suggestion Postback

      • URL to Open: It is applicable to URL button only.

      • Phone Number to Dial: It is applicable to Dialler button only.

  1. Click Submit for Approval.
    The status of the template will be displayed as Pending for Activation. Once the Wisely admin and Truecaller approves the template, the status will be updated to Active in the Templates home page.

Aggregator Admin

Permissions Required:

  • Super Admin/Admin

To add templates,

1. Login to Aggregator account with valid username and password.

2. Navigate to Channels —> Truecaller —> Business Profiles —> Template.

3. Click Add Template at top right corner. The Add Template wizard opens.

4. In the Enterprise Name field, select a desired name from the drop-down menu and click Next. The template creation page opens.

5. In the Message Category field, select your desired category from the dropdown menu. The values are

  • OTP

  • Promotional

  • Transactional

6. In the Template Name field, enter your desired name.

7. Select a radio button next to appropriate template type from the following:

7.1. Message Type: Rich Text Message

When you select a text message, you will need to enter the following fields:

  • In the Message Content field, enter your text message. You can add up to 4000 characters maximum.

  • (Optional) Add Variable parameters to the content of the message.

  • (Optional) In the Footer field, add text or URLs.

7.2. Message Type: Rich Card Stand Alone Message

When you select Rich Card Stand Alone type, you will need to enter the following fields:

View a Truecaller Template

Enterprise

To view truecaller template,

  1. Navigate to Channels -->Truecaller from the left-menu.

  2. Click the Business Profiles.
    The profiles page opens.

  3. Click the Templates tab at the top.
    The template page opens.

  4. Click the eye icon () far right to your truecaller template.
    Your template details open in the right-side menu with template preview.

Aggregator

To view truecaller template,

  1. Navigate to Channels -->Truecaller from the left-menu.

  2. Click the Business Profiles.
    The profiles page opens.

  3. Click the Templates tab at the top.
    The template page opens.

  4. Click the eye icon () far right to your truecaller template.
    Your template details open in the right-side menu with template preview.

Edit a Truecaller Template

Enterprise

You can edit the details your truecaller template if you would prefer to change in the Wisely UI.

To edit the truecaller template,

  1. Navigate to Channels --> Truecaller from the left-menu.

  2. Click the Business Profiles.
    The profiles page opens.

  3. Click the Templates tab at the top.
    The template page opens.

  4. Click the stencil icon  () far right to your truecaller template.
    The edit template page opens.

  5. Modify your desired details and click Save Changes.

Aggregator

You can edit the details your truecaller template if you would prefer to change in the Aggregator UI.

To edit the truecaller template,

  1. Navigate to Channels --> Truecaller from the left-menu.

  2. Click the Business Profiles.
    The profiles page opens.

  3. Click the Templates tab at the top.
    The template page opens.

  4. Click the stencil icon  () far right to your truecaller template.
    The edit template page opens.

  5. Modify your desired details and click Save Changes.

Delete a Truecaller Template

You can delete your truecaller templates if no longer required.

Enterprise

To delete the truecaller templates,

  1. Navigate to Channels --> Truecaller from the left-menu.

  2. Click the Business Profiles.
    The profiles page opens.

  3. Click the Templates tab at the top.
    The template page opens.

  4. Click the trash bin () icon far right to the template.
    A pop-up opens with confirmation message.

  5. Click Yes.
    Your template will be removed permanently from the template listing page.

Aggregator

To delete the truecaller templates,

  1. Navigate to Channels --> Truecaller from the left-menu.

  2. Click the Business Profiles.
    The profiles page opens.

  3. Click the Templates tab at the top.
    The template page opens.

  4. Click the trash bin () icon far right to the template.
    A pop-up opens with confirmation message.

  5. Click Yes.
    Your template will be removed permanently from the template listing page.
